Welcome to The Downtown Farmers Market in St.George Utah
The Downtown Farmers Market at Ancestor Square is a free event, held every Saturday, from 8am to 12 noon in the courtyard at Ancestor Square, located at St. George Blvd. and Main Street in Historic Downtown St. George. The event is held every Saturday, May 10 through November 1, 2014.
The Market features a variety of vendors from all over Washington and Iron County, selling seasonal produce such as fruits and vegetables, free range beef, pork, and lamb, cheeses such as goat, feta, gouda and cheddar, free range organic eggs, local honey, granola, live plants, cut flowers, herbs, fabric goods, soaps & lotions, jewelry, woodwork, hot coffee, pastries and more. Anything and everything homegrown, homemade and/or locally produced. SUPPORT LOCAL FIRST!
In addition to more than twenty five vendors selling their goods we also feature local musicians playing on center stage from 9:30 – 12 Noon. The center lawn will be open to the public to enjoy the music and the beautiful Southern Utah mornings. This is a place to do your weekly shopping for produce, shop for gifts, artwork or a new plant for the yard, enjoy breakfast and some local Southern Utah music.
Ancestor Square is the compilation of 12 separate buildings, six of which have historic registry designations with rich histories. These historic buildings include Sheriff Hardys house (1877), the Sheriffs office (Sandstone Bldg), the original Jailhouse, and one of the oldest buildings in St. George - the historic Gardeners Club building. All buildings have been renovated to provide a unique experience whether your visit includes lunch or dinner at one of our five premier restaurants, purchasing art from one of our world class art galleries, shopping in any of our unique retail stores, or visiting one of our many service oriented tenants.
Ancestor Square is located at the north west corner of St. George Blvd. and Main Street in the middle of St. George, Utah's Historic Downtown.
